Innsmouth Book Club: Tolkien Talk

Innsmouth isn’t traditionally the most welcoming of places, but I’m kind of known there now, so they let me walk abroad once in a while, without being dragged down to the murky depths. The Esoteric Order of Dagon don’t do a very good cup of tea, but the sushi’s excellent, if you like that kind of thing.

Still, they let the Innsmouth Book Club meet there once in a while (at very reasonable rates, I’m told) so I recently joined Rob and Tim for a chat about Tolkien’s masterpiece, the Lord of the Rings from a particularly English perspective.

Fellow author David Hambling was also on board as we talked landscape, balrog wings, Cockney trolls, the divine right of kings, World War One and much more in this splendid Tolkien-themed podcast.

In other news, I’ve launched a newsletter which you can sign up for below. It’ll be an occasional offering, with news, info, special offers, free stories and other goodies, allowing readers to stay in touch with what I’m up to.

It would be great if you’d consider signing up and then you can have me delivered straight to your inbox, which is a lot less rude than it sounds.

Success! You're on the list.
